DIFFUSE HEMANGIOMATOSIS OF THE SPLEEN - CASE REPORT

چکیده
Diffuse spleen hemangiomatosis is a rare benign vascular condition that often seen in systemic angiomatosis (associations with Turner, Beckwith-Wiedemanand Klippel Trenaunay syndromes) and very rarely unique splenic localization [1.4]. They present latent clinical picture of incidental discovery sometimes may be accompanied by severe hypersplenism other complications, hemangiomas exhibit imagingcharacteristics similar to hepatic hemangiomas. We the case diffuse discovered accidentally an asymptomatic patient.

The cutaneous lesions are generalized, vary from 0.5 to 1.5 em in diameter, and often range from 50 to 500 in number. Visceral lesions are most commonly found in the liver, CNS, intestine, and lungs....
متن کاملA Rare Case of Diffuse Hemangiomatosis of the Spleen with Splenic Rupture following Aortic Valve Replacement
In this paper we present a rare case of splenic rupture that occurred after an open aortic valve replacement in a male patient with hemangiomatosis of the spleen and the liver. The patient was treated with an emergency splenectomy. He showed no other sings of associated systemic disorder, such as Klippel-trénaunay syndrome or Proteus syndrome.

Diffuse neonatal hemangiomatosis (DNH) was fi rst described by Lister in 1938.1 Typically it appears during the fi rst 2 months of life. Lesions occur with greater frequency in premature children and females (4:1 ratio with respect to males).2,3 These lesions develop during the fi rst trimester of pregnancy between 6 and 10 weeks of gestation. Masses of rapidly dividing endothelial cells with o...
متن کاملMultifocal capillary hemangioma (hemangiomatosis) of the spleen.
BACKGROUND The spleen is mainly affected by benign tumors that originate from the vascular endothelium. The most common is hemangioma, which presents as a small, localized lesion. Isolated diffuse hemangiomatosis of the spleen is a rare entity in which the entire splenic parenchyma is replaced by a proliferation of neoplastic blood vessels. Here we illustrate the case of a 26-year-old man prese...
